CCPIT Machinery Sub-Council Delegation Visited ICDPASO Secretariat

Beijing, February 4, 2026 – A delegation led by Mr. YU Yi, Director General of the Department of Legal Affairs of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Mr. YANG Kefei, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT Machinery Sub-Council (CCPIT-MSC), visited the Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO).
Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of ICDPASO, extended a warm welcome to Mr. YU Yi, Mr. YANG Kefei, and their delegation. He highlighted ICDPASO's core businesses and unique advantages in one-stop dispute resolution with a focus on prevention. Through typical cases, he provided an in-depth interpretation of the highlights of the ICDPASO Arbitration Rules. He emphasized that relying on non-adversarial dispute resolution modes and fully respecting parties’ autonomy can effectively reduce corporate dispute resolution costs and improve efficiency in dispute resolution.

Mr. YANG Kefei introduced the establishment background and main functions of the CCPIT-MSC. The two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as common challenges facing “going global” machinery enterprises, assisting in the prevention and response of commercial disputes, and deepening collaboration in mediation and arbitration. The discussion aimed to build stable and smooth international commercial legal cooperation mechanisms for enterprises and effectively resolve foreign-related disputes. Mr. YU Yi expressed his expectation for strengthened cooperation between the two sides, hoping to solidly advance subsequent work to jointly facilitate the efficient resolution of commercial disputes in the machinery industry and promote the high-quality internationalization of the industry.
Participants included Ms. XIA Xiao, Director of the Cooperation Division of the Department of Legal Affairs of CCPIT; Mr. GAO Jun, Assistant to the Chairman of CCPIT-MSC; Ms. GU Wanning, Director of External Cooperation of ICDPASO; and Mr. ZHONG Yuan, Director of Case Management of ICDPASO.
