Silk Road International Talent Alliance Seminar Successfully Held at ICDPASO

Beijing, January 29, 2026 – Recently, the Silk Road International Talent Alliance Seminar was successfully held at the Multi-function Hall of the Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO). Under the theme “Legal Strategies and Risk Control for Outbound Chinese Enterprises under the Changing International Rules”, the event brought together over 30 alliance member companies and their subsidiaries including China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), Norinco Group and China Huadian Corporation. Participants — comprising General Counsels, Chief Compliance Officers, and heads of legal and compliance departments - engaged in in-depth discussions on international compliance, overseas investment, dispute resolution, and related topics.
Mr. SUN Xiaofeng, Deputy Director of the Belt and Road International Production Capacity Cooperation Promotion Center and Secretary-General of the Silk Road International Talent Alliance, delivered the opening remarks. Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of ICDPASO, Mr. ZHANG Xiangnan, former General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd., and Mr. CAO Haiyang, General Counsel of Beijing Electronics Digital Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. , shared their practical insights on risk prevention for overseas enterprises and post-investment risk control strategies in the context of current geopolitical challenges.
During the meeting, Mr. ZHONG Yuan, Director of Case Management of ICDPASO, provided a detailed introduction to ICDPASO’s “prevention-mediation-arbitration” one-stop dispute resolution service system and the advantages of its membership network covering over a hundred countries and regions. He shared experiences in resolving disputes through good offices and consultation based on typical cases, interpreted the application scenarios for dispute prevention, highlighted the ICDPASO Mediation and Arbitration Rules, and explained the three-stage fee structure. Mr. ZHONG advocated for enterprises to incorporate dispute prevention clauses into contracts to proactively avoid potential risks.
