ICDPASO Secretariat Held Online Meeting with the Law Society of Singapore (LSS) to Advance Bilateral Cooperation and Strengthen Legal Services Liaison

Beijing, January 28, 2026 - The Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) held an online meeting with the Law Society of Singapore (LSS) to promote bilateral cooperation and strengthen liaison in legal services. Ms. Lisa Sam, representative of LSS attended the meeting and engaged in exchanges.


During the meeting, Secretary-General Mr. Jason CHIA introduced the latest progress of ICDPASO in areas such as brand events and expert pool development. The representatives from LSS expressed high appreciation for the advancements made by ICDPASO. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation in jointly organizing international seminars and cultivating legal professionals. They unanimously agreed to strengthen practical cooperation in the future, providing higher-quality services and safeguards for cross-border economic and trade exchanges as well as legal cooperation between China and Singapore, and working to jointly foster a stable, fair, transparent, and predictable international business environment.


The Law Society of Singapore was established under the Legal Profession Act in 1967. The mission of the Law Society is to serve its members and the public by sustaining an independent bar which upholds the rule of law and ensures access to justice. The Law Society carrys out various statutory functions, including Representing, protecting and assisting members of the legal profession in Singapore; promoting in any manner the Society thinks fit the interests of the legal profession in Singapore; and Facilitating the acquisition of legal knowledge by members of the legal profession Maintaining and improving the standards of conduct and learning of the legal profession in Singapore Protecting and assisting the public in all matters ancillary or incidental to the law.
