ICDPASO Secretariat Held Online Meeting with Bar Association of India (BAI) to Advance Bilateral Cooperation and Strengthen Legal Services Liaison

Beijing, December 22, 2025 - The Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) held an online meeting with the Bar Association of India (BAI) to promote bilateral cooperation and strengthen liaison in legal services. Mr. Prashant Kumar, President of BAI, Ms. Rachana Srivastava, Vice President of BAI, and Ms. Anindita Pujari, Vice President of BAI, and other representatives, attended the meeting and engaged in discussions.


During the meeting, Secretary-General Mr. Jason CHIA introduced the latest progress of ICDPASO in areas such as event organization, international governance, and expert pool development. The representatives from BAI expressed high appreciation for the progress made by ICDPASO. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation in optimizing dispute resolution mechanisms, jointly organizing events, and cultivating legal professionals. They unanimously agreed to strengthen practical cooperation in the future, working together to foster a stable, fair, transparent, and predictable international business environment. This collaboration aims to provide higher-quality services and safeguards for cross-border economic and trade exchanges as well as legal cooperation between China and India.


The Bar Association of India (BAI), established in 1959, is an authoritative lawyers' industry organization in India. As the most influential voluntary organization in the country's legal community, it functions as the umbrella body for all levels of bar associations across India, including the Supreme Court Bar Association, High Court Bar Associations, and District Bar Associations. Its mission is to uphold the fairness of the law and promote the standardization of professional ethics among Indian lawyers.
