ICDPASO was invited to attend the 10th Global Entrepreneurs Conference in Hangzhou

Time:2025/12/03 BJT

HANG ZHOU, November 30, 2025 - the 10th Hangzhou Global Entrepreneurs Conference was grandly held in Hangzhou. Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Resolution Organization (ICDPASO), invited to attend the event. He delivered a keynote address titled "Prevention is Key: Dispute Prevention and Resolution in the Global Industrial Chain Development Trends," offering professional guidance on legal risk management and dispute resolution mechanisms for global enterprises engaged in cross-border operations.

In his keynote address, Secretary-General Mr. CHIA underscored that international rule-making and "one-stop" global legal services serve as both a "stabilizer" for enterprises navigating uncertainties and a "golden key" to resolving commercial disputes. Drawing from ICDPASO's practical experience, he proposed three core initiatives: First, strengthening proactive prevention by building a risk "firewall". He recommended embedding comprehensive compliance management and dispute prevention systems into business processes, utilizing ICDPASO's "Cross-border Compliance Guidelines" and "Risk Early Warning System" to identify potential risks like trade barriers and intellectual property infringements early, thereby controlling disputes at their source. Second, promoting diversified dispute resolution through collaborative "fast-track" mechanisms among dispute resolution agencies. This involves efficiently integrating preventive measures, mediation, arbitration, and litigation frameworks, leveraging ICDPASO's global network of dispute resolution experts to provide enterprises with efficient and cost-effective one-stop dispute resolution services. Third, emphasizing digital empowerment to create an intelligent dispute prevention "toolbox". This entails advancing AI applications in dispute resolution, utilizing tools such as legal fact-finding, third-party expert reviews, and mediation consultations to help enterprises proactively address various legal risks in cross-border operations.

Co-hosted by Zhejiang University's New Era Fengqiao Experience Research Institute and Zhejiang Small and Medium Enterprises Association, this conference brought together over300 entrepreneurs, legal experts, and international organization representatives. Centered on the theme "Legal Safeguards for High-Quality Global Development," it focused on three key agendas: "Diversified Dispute Resolution,"  "International Legal Support," and "Sustainable Development." The event aimed to establish a collaborative platform connecting business, legal, and research communities, systematically addressing compliance challenges and dispute resolution efficiency issues faced by global enterprises. It also provided an in-depth analysis of legal risks in cross-border operations and corresponding strategies.
