Secretariat of the ICDPASO Visited the Embassy of Pakistan in China

Beijing, November 24, 2025 - Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), and his delegation met with H.E. Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to China. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as advancing China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation and optimizing commercial dispute prevention and resolution services.
During the meeting, Secretary-General Jason CHIA provided an update on ICDPASO's latest developments in dispute prevention and resolution services, membership composition, and international rule-making. He emphasized that ICDPASO highly values Pakistan's role as a key Belt and Road partner and stands ready to leverage its advantages as an international platform to provide enterprises from both countries with comprehensive legal support covering compliance diagnostics, risk early-warning, mediation, and arbitration.
Ambassador Khalil Hashmi expressed appreciation for ICDPASO's successful handling of dozens of China-Pakistan commercial legal disputes over the past five years. He committed to actively promoting ICDPASO's one-stop commercial legal services among Pakistani organizations and enterprises. The Pakistani Embassy in China looks forward to deepening collaboration with ICDPASO in areas such as jointly hosting commercial law forums and corporate compliance training, working together to create a more stable and predictable business environment for enterprises of both nations.
This meeting enhanced mutual understanding and built consensus between the two institutions, laying a solid foundation for future deepened cooperation and contributing to the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
