ICDPASO Secretary-General Invited to Attend the 2025 Global Business and Law Conference

Qingdao, November 5, 2025 – The 2025 Global Business and Law Conference, hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), concluded successfully in Qingdao, China.

The conference centered on the theme of “Strengthening International Cooperation on Rule of Law to Promote Inclusive Economic Development”. The opening ceremony featured addresses by Mr. REN Hongbin, Chairman of CCPIT, Mr. LI Mingzheng, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice, Mr. WANG Zhenjiang, Vice President of China Law Society, Mr. XI Guohua, Chairman of CITIC Group Corporation, Mr. El Hadji Abdourahmane Ndione, President of ISO/DEVCO, Mr. HUANG Jin, President of the Chinese Society of International Law, Mr. Sandra Rajoo, President of the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR), and Mr. ZHOU Liwei, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee. Mr. Javier Cremades, President of The World Jurist Association (WJA), delivered a video speech. Mr. LIU Jiannan, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, released the 2025 Global Business and Law Conference Declaration.
Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), was invited to attend the conference and served as the moderator for the panel discussion segment of the main forum. Ms. XIE Changqing, Vice President of the Arbitration Court of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Mr. OGAWA YOSHINORI, Executive President of ORIX (China) Industry Holdings Co., Ltd., Mr. WANG Han, Former Vice President of Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Mr. Dan Himpson, Head of Asia-Pacific of Global Markets of Lex Mundi, Mr. JIANG Qi, Chairman of the Board of Beijing Hylands Law Firm, and Mr. GENG Guoyu, Chairman of Shandong Lawyers Association, engaged in in-depth discussions on the topic of “Legal Challenges and Responses to Unimpeded Industrial and Supply Chains”. Mr. Jason CHIA stated that as a neutral international organization, ICDPASO is willing to work with various institutions to address the current challenges facing global industrial and supply chains. He emphasized ICDPASO’s commitment to building cross-regional platforms for exchange and cooperation, providing one-stop and full-chain dispute prevention and settlement services, and formulating innovative rules through its international organization platform. Together with partners, ICDPASO aims to inject the dynamism of the rule of law into the stability and upgrading of global industrial and supply chains.
During the conference, two parallel forums were held focusing on the topics of “The Development of Rule of Law and Dispute Resolution in a Global Context” and “Intellectual Property and Artificial Intelligence in the Wave of Innovation”.

The conference brought together over 1,000 participants from more than 47 countries and regions, representing international organizations and institutions, government departments of various countries, diplomatic envoys to China, legal service providers, business associations, and enterprises.
