The Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization Visited to the Boao Forum for Asia

BEIJING, July 30, 2025 - Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) with his delegation, paid a visit to the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) and held a discussion with Mr. WANG Dong, Director of the Asia-Africa Affairs Department of the BFA Secretariat.
During the meeting, Secretary-General Jason CHIA and Director WANG Dong exchanged views on topics including optimizing the member service system, innovation in global commercial dispute resolution mechanisms, and the legal safeguards for regional economic cooperation. They also reached a preliminary consensus on strengthening the sharing of expert resources and jointly organizing international events. Both sides agreed that this exchange has injected new impetus into expanding the scope of cooperation. In the future, they will establish a regular communication mechanism and work together to provide more efficient and predictable dispute resolution solutions for international commercial entities, jointly safeguarding the order of an open world economy.
During the visit, the delegation led by Secretary-General Mr. Jason CHIA was received by Mr. ZHANG Jun, Secretary-General of the BFA. Mr. ZHANG Jun put forward many constructive suggestions regarding participation in the formulation of international rules and the cultivation of legal talents in foreign-related fields. He also pointed out that both sides, as international organizations, have numerous areas for collaboration. As an important platform connecting Asia and the world, the BFA is willing to leverage its bridging role to work with ICDPASO in jointly promoting the alignment of international commercial legal rules, enhancing the comprehensive capabilities of international organizations, and cultivating foreign-related legal professionals, all aimed at jointly contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of regional and global economic and trade cooperation.
