Lecture on Exploring the Pilot Construction of International Commercial Arbitration Center Successfully Held in Xiamen

Xiamen, July 7, 2025 - Lecture Series of Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District (MSRCLD) themed “Exploring the Pilot Construction of International Commercial Arbitration Center” was successfully held in Xiamen. This event was jointly organized by the Xiamen Arbitration Commission and the Secretariat of MSRCLD, and co-sponsored by the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) (Xiamen) Representative Office.

Ms.LIU Xiaohong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, mediator and arbitrator of ICDPASO, analyzed the current situation and future trends in the development of international commercial arbitration centers, focusing their practical motivations, basic elements, business environment, institutional shortcomings, and potential development path. 

Additionally, she noted that in the context of cultural diversity, the integration of international arbitration systems is particularly important. Ms. Liu emphasized that Xiamen, as an international tourist city with a good global reputation, should fully leverage its geographical advantages, promote the integration of international tourism and arbitration services, innovate arbitration rules, actively cultivate professional talents, and build a modern platform for the rule of law with international influence.
