ICDPASO was invited to the 2nd International Infrastructure Project Dispute Resolution & Legal Services Forum

Macau, June 12, 2025 - The 2nd International Infrastructure Project Dispute Resolution & Legal Services Forum, jointly supported by the China International Contractors Association (ICDPASO member) and the Macau Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute, was held in Macau. Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention & Resolution Organization(ICDPASO), was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech on "Implementation Paths of Risk Prevention from the Perspective of Full-cycle Risk Management".
Mr. Jason CHIA conducted a deep analysis of applying the concept of "preventive treatment" to the prevention and resolution of international construction disputes, examining multiple dimensions including changes in laws and policies, management of human resources, environmental compliance, market access, and trade barriers.
The opening speech was given by Mr. Xin Xiuming, Vice Chairman of the China International Contractors Association. Mr. Chuan Wee Meng, President of the Singapore International Mediation Centre, Mr. Oliver H.C. Wee, President of the Master Builders Association of Malaysia, Ms. Helen Shi, Vice President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, and Mr. Yao Hongmin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center) delivered the keynote speeches. During the panel discussion, experts exchanged views on legal risk prevention and service practices in emerging markets such as the Middle East and Portuguese-speaking countries, as well as the diversification of international construction dispute resolution mechanisms.
The ICDPASO delegation engaged in in-depth exchanges with participating representatives on its core operations and initiatives at the event site. Additionally, ICDPASO will host a seminar on the international construction project dispute review system in Beijing on June 20, 2025.
