The 2025 Beijing International Commercial and Legal Event Successfully Held in Beijing

Beijing, May 9, 2025 - The 2025 Beijing International Commercial  and Legal Event was successfully held in Beijing. The event was jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Beijing Sub-Council(CCPIT Beijing) and the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce. Mr. ZHANG Jianwei, Party Secretary of CCPIT Beijing, Ms. LI Wei, Deputy Director General of Legal Affairs Department of CCPIT, and Ms. Anna Joubin-Bret, Secretary of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) delivered the opening speeches. 

Mr. Jason CHIA，Director of the General Affairs Department of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization(ICDPASO)delivered akeynotepresentationtitled"Theory and Practiceof International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Resolution".The presentation emphasized the core business of ICDPASO,particularly in the field of dispute prevention. Byleveraging expert resourcesin both legal and business domains, ICDPASO applies flexible methodsto resolve commercial disputes. Attendeesgaineda more comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in dispute resolutionas well asthepractical operations.Furthermore,it established a solid foundation for consideringICDPASOas a diversified option for disputeresolution in the future.

More than 400 guests from China and abroad participated in this event, including representatives from government departments, international organizations, and legal service agencies, as well as renowned experts and scholars, and business representatives.
