ICDPASO Successfully Held “TA-PASO” Roundtable Dialogue on Prevention and ADR in Cultural Sector

BEIJING, Mar. 7, 2025 - TA-PASO” Roundtable Dialogue on Prevention and ADR in Cultural Industry was successfully held in Beijing, hosted by the Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), and co-organized by Dongcheng District Bureau of Justice of Beijing Municipality and the China Television Drama Production Industry Association. With the theme of "Flexible Mechanisms in Prevention and ADR in Cultural Industry", more than 20 experts, scholars and representatives of industries and enterprises from the fields of law and culture attended and made speeches at the dialogue. Ms. SHEN Peilan, Secretary General of ICDPASO, delivered an opening speech, expressing her warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to all the guests.

During the keynote speeches, Mr. ZHANG Zheng (ICDPASO Arbitrator), Vice President of China Academy Of Arbitration Law, made an in-depth analysis of the common legal issues and development trends of film and television co-operation. Ms. FEI Anling (ICDPASO Mediator), Professor of Civil and Commercial Law and Comparative Private Law, China University of Political Science and Law, emphasized the importance of building a systematic mechanism for dispute prevention and resolution to enhance China’s cultural global influence. Ms. HAN Weijie, Dongcheng District Bureau of Justice of Beijing Municipality, shared experiences on supporting ADR in Beijing’s cultural industry in facilitating the flourishing of a premier city.

In the closing session, Ms. ZHANG Yuejiao, Honorary Chairperson of ICDPASO, First Chinese Judge and Former Chairperson on the Appellate Body of the World Trade Organization, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the co-organizers and the speakers for their support, and spoke highly of the results of the Dialogue. She stated that ICDPASO is willing to work together with all parties to contribute more to the prosperity of Beijing's cultural industry.

The event was chaired by Mr. Jason JIA, Director of ICDPASO’s General Affairs Department. In the future, ICDPASO will continue to give full play to its own advantages, strengthen cooperation and communication with all parties, and jointly promote the continuous improvement of the dispute prevention and resolution mechanism in the cultural industry.
