International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization Conducted Research and Visit Tour to multiple locations

In January 2025, Mr. Jia Shen, Director of the Department of General Affairs of International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) , and his delegation visited Zhejiang and Shandong to conduct research and visits, and carried out in-depth exchanges with local universities, legal service institutions and enterprise representatives on the the full-chain legal service system for dispute prevention and resolution, the innovation-driven integration of law and business and the establishment of a regular cooperation and exchange mechanisms. They carried out in-depth exchanges with local universities, legal service institutions and enterprise representatives, aiming to promote the internationalization of commercial dispute prevention, mediation and arbitration, and to provide better international legal services for enterprise operation.

During the research, ICDPASO exchanged experiences on resolving cross-border dispute cases with the Zhejiang Sub-Commission of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and the Hangzhou Arbitration Commission. Zhao Liang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hangzhou Arbitration Commission, highly recognized the full-chain service features of ICDPASO and expressed his willingness to cooperate with ICDPASO in promoting and conducting research projects.

In the visit to the Alibaba Group headquarters in Hangzhou, ICDPASO gained an in-depth understanding of the legal needs of e-commerce companies in their overseas expansion. Alibaba's legal team emphasized the important role of ICDPASO as a global commercial platform and stated that they would actively support relevant cooperation.

In Yiwu, Zhejiang, ICDPASO held in-depth dialogues with the Fudan University Yiwu Research Institute and the Zhejiang China Commodity City Group Research Institute. The Fudan University Yiwu Research Institute highly recognized the dispute prevention model characterized by flexible resolution proposed by ICDPASO, and both sides reached a consensus on continuing cooperation. The Zhejiang China Commodity City Group Research Institute expressed its hope that ICDPASO would conduct industry-specific training and publicity to help enterprises develop risk awareness. They also explored other cooperation models oriented towards effectively serving enterprises and addressing their pain points and difficulties.

In the discussion with Inspur Group Co., Ltd.(Inspur Group), the company emphasized the significant role of ICDPASO in constructing a comprehensive legal service system for dispute prevention and resolution, as well as the importance of deeply integrating law and business to better leverage legal services to promote business innovation. Inspur Group expressed its willingness to actively explore and support relevant cooperation.

During the visit to the School of Law at Shandong University, Vice Dean FU Benchao highly recognized the achievements of ICDPASO in the fields of dispute prevention and resolution, international legal talent cultivation, and policy research. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in the training of rule of law talents, academic research and practical cooperation, and to establish a regular cooperation and exchange mechanism, so as to jointly provide strong human resources and intellectual support for the development of the field of international commercial dispute prevention and resolution.
