International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization Mediation Entity First Mediator Training Course Completion Ceremony Successfully Held

On 1 June, the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) Mediation Entity (IME) First Mediator Training Course completion ceremony was successfully held in Beijing.

The International Commercial Mediator Training Course is a high-quality training course organized by the IME, taking into account the international situation and practical needs.The IME invited high-level officials from UNCITRAL who have long been involved in international commercial mediation legislation, senior lawyers from Singapore and China who have been practicing commercial mediation, and young professionals from the ICDPASO Secretariat to focus on international commercial mediation skills, extraterritorial commercial mediation methods, ICDPASO Commercial Mediation Rules, and the UNCITRAL mediator training system. Through a variety of methods, including group discussions, interactive Q&A sessions, real case sharing and mock case (simulated mediation case demonstration) practice, participants will be able to master various mediation techniques and methods.

Professor Zhang Yuejiao, Honorary Chairperson of ICDPASO, Former Chairman of WTO Appellate Body, and Professor of Tsinghua University, Mr Wang Xuehua, Chief Partner of Beijing Huanzhong & Partners, and Arbitrator at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), Mr HEE Theng Fong, Senior Lawyer (recognized by the Supreme Court of Singapore), Ambassador of Singapore International Arbitration Centre, and Justice of Peace appointed by the President of Singapore, Dr Liu Chao, Secretary General of the ICDPASO, attended and addressed the event via online and offline respectively.

Honorary Chairperson Zhang Yuejiao, Secretary General Liu Chao, Chief Partner Wang Xuehua and Senior Advisor Wu Shaoying presented the certificate of completion to participants.
