The Member Liaison Meeting between the Asian Financial Cooperation Association (AFCA) and the Secretariat of International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO)

On February 7, 2023, Ms. ZHAO Xianfeng, Deputy Secretary General of Asian Financial Cooperation Association (ICDPASO Council Member), Ms. FU Jing, Director of AFCA Development Department II, and Ms. JIN Yinhua, Assistant Director of AFCA Development Department II, visited ICDPASO Secretariat to attend the member liaison meeting. Dr. LIU Chao, Secretary General of ICDPASO, Ms. WEI Qing, Director of the Department of General Affairs attended this meeting.

Dr. LIU Chao, Secretary General of ICDPASO, warmly welcomed the arrival of AFCA group. He said that AFCA is one of the founding members of the ICDPASO and AFCA is an important member of the Council of ICDPASO, and hoped that both sides would continue to cooperate in depth and discuss future cooperation opportunities based on the past cooperation. Ms. ZHAO Xianfeng, Deputy Secretary General of AFCA, introduced the organization structure, membership and business development of AFCA, and hoped to further strengthen exchanges and discussions with ICDPASO, deepen the potential of cooperation and promote cooperation in multiple fields. Ms. FU Jing, Director of Development Department II, expressed AFCA's hope to continue in-depth cooperation with ICDPASO in high-end forums and training, and to cooperate in launching a model standard contract for the financial industry to provide more professional legal services for the global financial and business community. Dr. LIU Chao, Secretary General of ICDPASO, responded positively to the above vision of cooperation, stating that model standard contract is one of the important tools for dispute prevention, and ICDPASO looks forward to working together with AFCA to develop and publish relevant model standard contracts to jointly promote the safe flow of global financial capital.

Ms. WEI Qing, Director of the Department of General Affairs, then introduced the main achievements of the ICDPASO since its establishment from six aspects, including building the international exchange platform, providing dispute prevention and settlement services, participating in international governance, strengthening member exchanges, cultivating rule of law talents and holding specific forums. Dr. LIU Chao, Secretary General of ICDPASO, expressed that the cooperation between the two sides has a broad prospect and sufficient dynamic energy. In the future, ICDPASO is willing to work together with AFCA to expand the depth and breadth of cooperation and jointly provide professional services to the financial and business community to help Asia and the global economic recovery after the pandemic.
