The ASEAN-China Center delegation visited the Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO)

On February 6, 2023, GUO Chuanwei, Director of the Trade and Investment Department of the ASEAN-China Centre visited the Secretariat of International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), and had in-depth exchanges of views with Secretary-General Liu Chao on further cooperation between ASEAN-China Centre and China.

Director GUO introduced the background about the ASEAN-China Centre. The centre is committed to promoting friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between China and ASEAN in the fields of trade, investment, education, culture, tourism and digital media. Director Guo also expressed that the ASEAN-China Centre and the ICDPASO are both international organizations, and hope to establish a closer communication mechanism with ICDPASO, supporting each other, and working as bridges to provide high-quality trade,investment and commercial legal services for market players, especially enterprises in ASEAN countries.  

Secretary-General Dr LIU Chao welcomed the visit of Director GUO and his delegation. Ms Wei Qing, Director of General Affairs Department, introduced the background and operation of the ICDPASO. The two sides agreed that in the future, they will further strengthen communication, and jointly establish a platform to provide one-stop high-quality legal services integrating dispute prevention for countries in ASEAN. 

ICDPASO will work alongside together with the ASEAN-China Center to create an international and law-based business environment and promote the establishment of a fair and reasonable international economic order.
