Belgian-Chinese Chamber Of Commerce held an online video conference with the Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization

On January 9, 2023, Mr. Bernard Dewit, Chairman of the Belgian-Chinese Chamber Of Commerce(BCECC)(Member of ICDPASO Supervisory Committee), and Ms. CHEN Si, Manager, held an online video conference with the Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization  (ICDPASO).  

 

At the meeting, Ms. ZHANG Zhuo, a staff of the ICDPASO secretariat, briefed President Bernard Dewit and Manager CHEN Si on the development and achievements of the organization's operations in the past two years and reviewed the cooperation between the two sides in the past two years. Ms. WEI Qing, Director of the Department of General Affairs of ICDPASO Secretariat, looked ahead to the work plan for 2023. She expressed the willingness of the ICDPASO to cooperate with the BCECC in jointly promoting the concept of dispute prevention and holding international high-level conferences and forums, as well as in promoting the construction of a business environment in Belgium and Europe, and providing international, professional and convenient public legal services.

 

Mr. Bernard Dewit, Chairman of the BCECC, congratulated the organization on its achievements in the past two years and expressed his confidence and expectation for future cooperation with each other. He indicated that the BCECC is willing to actively promote ICDPASO and promote the concept of dispute prevention in Belgium and Europe, recommend legal professionals such as mediators and arbitrators to ICDPASO, and explore more cooperation opportunities in hosting high-level international conferences and forums.

 

Dr. LIU Chao, Secretary General of the ICDPASO thanked the BCECC for its long-term support to the ICDPASO. He said that the ICDPASO is willing to carry out all-round cooperation with the BCECC in promoting trade and investment exchanges between countries, preventing and resolving cross-border commercial disputes, and holding international high-level forums, jointly carrying forward the concept of win-win cooperation, and creating an international and law-based business environment for the global business community in Belgium and the European region. Promote the establishment of a just and equitable international economic order.
