On December 20, 2022, an online liaison meeting between the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), the Union of African Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture & Professions (UACCIAP), and the Secretariat of International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) was held, attended by Dr. Alaa Ezz, Secretary General of the FEDCOC and the UACCIAP, Mr. Hosam Baharia, Deputy Secretary General of the FEDCOC and the UACCIAP, and Dr. LIU Chao, Secretary General of ICDPASO.

 

Ms.XIA Ying, the project manager of ICDPASO Secretariat, briefed the FEDCOC and the UACCIAP on the achievements and ongoing efforts undertaken by ICDPASO since its establishment two years ago, and also expressed the willingness of ICDPASO to cooperate in jointly promoting the concept of dispute prevention, helping to build the business environment in Egypt and Africa, and providing internationalized, professional and facilitated public legal services.

 

Dr. Alaa Ezz, Secretary General of the FEDCOC and the UACCIAP congratulated ICDPASO for its achievements over the past two years, and expressed his confidence and expectations for the future cooperation. He said that the FEDCOC and the UACCIAP are willing to actively promote ICDPASO and dispute prevention concept in Egypt and Africa, recommend mediators, arbitrators and other legal professionals, and work together to facilitate international trade and investment and build a platform for international exchange and cooperation.

 

Dr. LIU Chao, Secretary General of the ICDPASO expressed his gratitude to the FEDCOC and the UACCIAP for their long-standing support. He stated that ICDPASO is looking forward to cooperating with the FEDCOC and the UACCIAP in advancing economic, trade and investment exchanges between countries, preventing and resolving cross-border commercial disputes, and organizing international high-level forums to jointly promote the concept of win-win cooperation and contribute to the recovery of the African and global economies.
