An online liaison meeting between Afghanistan Business Council China (ABCC) and the Secretariat of International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) was held

On December 16, 2022, an online liaison meeting between Afghanistan Business Council China (ABCC) (Member of ICDPASO Supervisory Committee) and the Secretariat of International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) was held, attended by Mr. Mohammad Nasim Malekzai, Chairman of ABCC, Mr. Haji Qayoum Azimi, Vice Chairman of ABCC, Mr. Assadullah Habibullah, the China Chapter Member of ABCC, and Dr. LIU Chao, Secretary General of ICDPASO.

Mr.Wang Jinghao, the staff of ICDPASO Secretariat, briefed ABCC  on the achievements and ongoing efforts undertaken by ICDPASO since its establishment two years ago, and reviewed the past cooperation between the two parties. Meanwhile, ICDPASO hoped to continue to maintain close cooperation with ABCC, and jointly providing more professional public legal services to Afghan companies and global business community.

Mr. Nasim, Chairman of ABCC and Mr. Haji Qayoum, Vice Chairman of ABCC, congratulated ICDPASO on its two years of achievements, and envisioned the future cooperation between the two sides. They looked forward to the exploration of further opportunities for cooperation in promoting trade and investment between Asian countries, and in facilitating the establishment of a regional representative office of ICDPASO, and promoting the concept of dispute prevention. Meanwhile, they hoped that both sides will expand the scale of cooperation, open up new areas of cooperation, and add vitality and support to the development of China-Arab regional economic and trade cooperation.

Dr. LIU Chao, Secretary General of ICDPASO expressed his gratitude to ABCC for its long-standing support, and responded positively to their willingness to cooperate. He stated that the ICDPASO and the ABCC will carry out practical cooperation and establish a long-term cooperation mechanism in the promotion of trade and investment between Asian countries, the prevention and resolution of cross-border commercial disputes, and regional economic and trade cooperation. In the future, the ICPASO is willing to cooperate with the ABCC to build a win-win situation and provide international, professional and facilitated public legal services to the global business community including Afghan and Asian companies, and to promote an international and law-based business environment and a just and reasonable international economic order.
