The ICDPASO Secretary-General LIU Chao Visited Ethiopian Ambassador to China Teshome Toga

On the morning of February 10, 2022, Dr. LIU Chao, Secretary General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), paid a visit to the Embassy of Ethiopia in China and had a cordial meeting with H. E. Ambassador Teshome Toga on conducting in-depth exchanges on developing friendly cooperation.

 

Ambassador Teshome Toga extended a warm welcome to Dr. LIU Chao and his delegation. He emphasized that Ethiopia has maintained rapid economic development and attracted a large number of overseas investments to contribute to the export of its agricultural products, energy and mineral resources developmentsince the implementation of the "The Growth and Transformation Plan". However, with the rapid growth of cross-border trade and investment, commercial disputes are also increasing. The Embassy of Ethiopiain China looks forward to in-depth cooperation with the ICDPASO for escorting the prevention and settlement of commercial disputes in Ethiopia's economic, trade and investment fields, and promoting the sustainable development of Ethiopia's foreign economy and trade.

 

Dr. LIU Chao appreciated Ambassador Teshome Toga for his invitation and his attention and trust to the ICDPASO. He stated that as a non-governmental international organization, the ICDPASO is committed to providing internationalized, professional and convenient public legal services for the global business community, promoting the optimization of the global law-based business environment, and pushing forward the establishment of a fair and reasonable international economic order. The ICDPASO Secretariat will work jointly with the Embassy of Ethiopiain China to build a regular commercial dispute prevention and settlement working mechanism, actively provide comprehensive and professional commercial legal services for not only Ethiopian enterprises but all market participants, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the enterprises, promote economic and trade cooperation and development, and jointly contribute to the development of the world's multilateral trading system.
