International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization Announcement on the Establishment of the Global Enterprise Compliance 50

Responding to the cross-border business compliance demands of enterprises, and in order to do a further job in prevention of international commercial disputes, International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) plans to establish the Global Enterprise Compliance 50 forum (GEC 50) , after extensive and in-depth research, to help enterprises make overall plans for operational compliance and management, deepen the understanding of regulatory requirements, analyze compliance risk trends, and build a pragmatic and effective information communication platform.

 

GEC 50 Governance Structure

The GEC 50 is a permanent organization with an Enterprise Committee and an Expert Committee, focused on ensuring a more scientific and effective governance. The term of each committee shall be three years. The Enterprise Committee shall establish positions of chairman and vice-chairman; the Expert Committee shall establish positions of chairman and vice-chairman. Meanwhile, anInstitution of Compliance will be set up within the ICDPASO Secretariat to take charge of GEC 50´s daily operations.Companies and experts from all countries and regions are eligible for application. After preliminary screening, the ICDPASO Secretariat will publicize the list of selected candidates to the world through ICDPASO´s official website and other official accounts. If there is no objection, the list will be sent to ICDPASO’sSupervisory Committee for review, then, the application will be officially confirmed.

 

GEC 50 Activities

 

(I) Thematic Discussion.

Regularly or irregularly organize exchange and sharing meetings about different industries and fields to share experience and information on industry trends, development prospects and compliance requirements.

 

(II)  Consultation and Communication.

Regularly or irregularly invite political and business experts from different industries and fields to make in-depth interpretations of policy documents and trends, and build a platform to convey demands.

 

(III) Forum

Provide communication and cooperation opportunities for global compliance theory and practice professionals, help enterprises to operate compliance, and promote the sustainable development of international commercial affairs through the high-end dialogue platforms.

 

(IV) Research Report.

Promote and model with cases. Write and publish “blue books” or research reports about different industries, fields, countries, and regions. Set up the concept of “compliance creates value and contributes to development”.

 

(V) Consultation and Coordination.

Based on ICDPASO global resources, assist enterprises to communicate in compliance and maintain public relations, avoid disputes, and promote win-win cooperation.

 

(VI) Others.

 Conveniently increase or carry out other activities according to the demands of enterprises and experts.

 

Matters That Need Attention

 

(I) Enterprises or experts who intend to join the forum should have the basic awareness of compliance to help the development and consciously maintain the reputation of GEC 50.

 

(II)The opinions of members only represent themselves, and GEC 50 only serves as a communication platform.

 

(III)Openness is one of GEC 50’s principal values. Domestic and international experts, scholars and compliance practitioners are welcome to participate in activities organized by GEC 50.

 

(IV) The GEC 50 is a permanent and non-profit organization, and the expense shall be jointly negotiated by all participants.
